Gear
The gear we take on the crossing must keep us alive in the Arctic environment for a month or more, in temperatures down to -30C. It must be reliable, because we can't just go to the shop for repairs or replacements. It must also be light, because we'll be hauling it (plus food and fuel) for 650km! We also want to keep freight costs (ouch!) down, so what we take is going to be a compromise.
