The Team

Angus Munro

Age: 23

Angus is a glaciologist, skier, climber, river guide, and budding photojournalist. During the last 6 years he has built a host of outdoor experience and worked in Antarctic and oceanographic research while studying science at the University of Tasmania. An experienced photographer, Angus has been published in Wild and other magazines, and is a regular contributor to university outdoor publications. He holds a diploma of freelance photography and his photos have won recognition in competitions and a book. He has traveled for research to the Antarctic three times (where he spent this summer working in the deep field on a scientific project), is in the State Emergency Service Wilderness Search and Rescue team, has rafted the Franklin River and sailed (with Simon) across the Coral Sea. While this is Angus's largest yet expedition, his roles in several outdoor adventure clubs have ranged from equipment manager to president, and he is no stranger to outdoor leadership and logistics. Angus also enjoys diving, surfing and music.
